Columbiana - Larry Raymond Richardson, 76 of Columbiana, died peacefully at his home in Port Charlotte, FL on February 28, 2025. He was born on October 19, 1948, son of the late Clyde and Patricia (Case) Richardson.
Larry was raised in Columbiana while spending summers at Berlin Lake water skiing and fishing with his family. He was a member of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church. A 1966 graduate of Columbiana High School, he answered his country's call to serve in the Army during the Vietnam War. Larry was a Delta Raider, one of the most decorated units in the Vietnam War, Company D, 2nd Battalion, 501st Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. A decorated infantryman, Larry was awarded the Bronze Star.
Upon returning home, he worked for General Motors in Lordstown for 32 years. His work ethic was admirable, seldom missing a day. He lived near Lake Tomahawk, where he continued his love of fishing, passing his love of waterskiing and the lake onto his children and grandchildren. He retired and be
