SALEM - Frederick Richard "Fred" Delp, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and pillar of the Salem community, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in East Palestine, where he was a patient for a short time. Fred was born on August 8, 1943, in Salem, Ohio, to the late Louis and Kathryn (Stefal) Delp, Fred's warmth, generosity, and dedication to his family and friends defined his 81 years of life.
Fred grew up in Salem, where he attended Greenford High School, graduating with the class of 1961. After high school, he honed his skills to become a respected tool and die maker, a trade that would lay the foundation for his professional journey. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-own Quaker Manufacturing, where he applied his expertise and work ethic to build a successful career.
Fred's life was blessed with love and companionship when he married his beloved wife, Janet (Woodson) Delp. Their relationship was one from the movies
