E. Delores "Pete" Goodman, 93
NORTH LIMA – E. Delores "Pete" Goodman, of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday evening, at the Inn at Glenellen in North Lima. She was 93 years old.
Born in Highlandtown, January 19, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John and Olive McDevitt Whitaker. She was a member of the Wellsville High School Class of 1948 and for 27 years she worked as the secretary to the Dean at the East Liverpool Kent State Campus. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in East Liverpool.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Goodman. The couple married September 21, 1950 at Orchard Grove Church and enjoyed 36 wonderful years together until his death June 10, 1986. She was also preceded by five sisters: Naomi Dawson, Leah Clutter, Mary Carter, Donna Weaver and Leah's twin, Lois, who died at birth, as well as three brothers, Karl, Bill and Johnny Whitaker.
