David Dunbar Obituary
In memory of David A. Dunbar. We are celebrating the life of son, brother, uncle, veteran, and adventure-seeker David Allen Dunbar, who was born on November 16, 1943, and passed away on June 20, 2024, with loving family by his side.
David was born in Potsdam, New York as the oldest of four children. The Dunbars moved several times in David's youth and finally settled in Columbiana, Ohio, where he graduated from high school in 1962.
After high school, David worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube, prior to entering the U.S. Air Force, earning certifications in Electrical Communication and serving our country during the Vietnam War.
Thereafter, David moved to California, where he would work for RCA, and also where his iconic beard began, as he declined to shave in an effort to do his part to conserve water during drought season.
